Binalot targets 20 more branches in Middle East

Local food chain Binalot is set to bring Filipino flavor to more venues in the Middle East in the next five years.

According to Binalot Fiesta Foods President Rommel Juan, they are planning to further expand their market in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by opening more stores in Dubai and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) area.

“Filipinos constitute 21.3 percent of the population in Dubai so it’s only natural that the need for a good Filipino food brand is needed in this market,” Juan said in an interview with Manila Times.

For their Dubai venture, Binalot has partnered with a local company to ensure that the food and service quality it has established in the Philippines will be the same level that customers in Dubai will experience.

According to Juan, they are eyeing 20 more outlets in the Middle East in the next five years, seeing as there are 700,000 Pinoys in the UAE and 450,000 in Dubai alone, a market that is rich in potential.

Juan shared that in order to bring this vision to reality, the company is open to partnering with foreign firm who want to tap into the Filipino food and culture in their countries.

“We believe that Binalot can succeed wherever there are Filipino communities looking for fresh and clean Filipino food,” said Juan. (ANGEL ONG)
