Chef Juday shares Malunggay kitchen innovations for breastfeeding moms

Actress, host and chef extraordinaire Judy Ann Santos may have her hands full as she welcomed Baby Luna, the latest addition to the family, but once in a while, she still manages to whip up something yummy in the kitchen to boost her breastfeeding efforts for her young one.

In an Instagram post, the celebrity chef and mom of three shared that she is trying to be inventive with her breastfeeding diet, which features the one and only moringga or malunggay, which experts say boost the mother’s milk supply.

For her breakfast or snack, Juday posted a photo of a toasted rye bread with garlic cream cheese with chives and moringga. The dish looked simple to prepare but may come as a treat for moms who are growing tired of the same old preparations of the leafy vegetable.

Usually, breastfeeding moms incorporate malunggay with soup dishes, or take malunggay capsules to get its maximum benefit while breastfeeding. Malunggay is also sometimes used an ingredient for making bread, as well as other food products. (By Angel Ong)
