Carabao Center opens dairy outlet in UP-Los Banos
The Philippine Carabao Center will set up a Milka Krem branch in the University of the Philippines-Los Banos to give dairy farmers in the area more access to the commercial market, the Philippines News Agency reported.
The dairy outlet will sell fresh milk, choco milk, coffee milk, fruit-flavored juices, white cheese, mozzarella, pastillas de leche, flavored yoghurt and yoghurt drink, and ice cream.
The carabao’s milk that would be processed will be supplied by PCC-assisted dairy cooperatives at UPLB.
The first Milka Krem outlet was put up with Nueva Ecija more than two years ago in order to sell locally produced carabao’s milk that has been processed by the PCC’s facilities.
The PCC said dairy animals in the cooperatives are given naturally-grown grass and nutritious feeds.
The dairy outlet in Los Banos brings the PCC’s products closer to Metro Manila.
