Ritual introduces Nipa Lambanog

Pinoys are known for their wide range of localized drinks and one of the most popular drinks beverages out there is the coconut wine Lambanog.

Ritual, a small general store which specializes in local, eco friendly and mostly organic products along Arnaiz Ave. in Makati, is introducing their own take on the fermented drink.

An Instagram post featured the Nipa Lambanog, which is a distilled liquor derived from nypa fruiticens.

It is packages in a clear glass bottle with a simple label that describes how it was processed.

Basically, the inflorescence of the palm tree is cut off and the sweet liquid is collected and fermented for three days ion clay jars, as opposed to the classic lambanog whose fermentation process takes longer.

The drink then becomes tuba which is then distilled to become the Nipa Lambanog. (By: Angel Ong)
