Tempura balut and lumpia with kesong puti at Marison’s

If you’re getting tired of the same old same old dishes being offered in most restaurants, why not check out Marison’s Home Cuisine, an establishment that offers not only the traditional options but also new varieties to the tried and tested formulas.

For balut lovers who have tried almost all types of balut preparations, how would you like to sample balut tempura, which is a fusion of the Japanese breaded shrimp dish and the boiled duck embryo?

The dish looks appetizing even for non fans of the Pinoy delicacy.

And who knows, this may well be your best bet to get a friend or two to love balut as much as you do.

There’s also fried lumpia with kesong puti in its center instead of the usual vegetable or ground meat.

Marison’s recommends that the lumpia be taken with spicy pineapple sambal dip and mixed greens with grapes, queso de bola and cashew nuts with special dressing to have that desired explosion of flavors in your mouth.
