Cafe Juanita now serving Sinaglay
Cafe Juanita has something deliciously new on its menu and its from Bicol.
The restaurant recently featured on an Instagram post its latest offering, Sinanglay.
Sinaglay is a dish that originates from Bicol wherein fish (usually tilapia) is cooked in coconut milk, similar to ginataang tilapia. However, prior to cooking the fish in coconut oil, it is stuffed with garlic, onion and tomato (much like inihaw) and wrapped in lemongrass and tied together to keep the ingredients together while cooking.
This dish is not usually found in regular restaurants so its a real treat for anyone craving this regional favorite. (ANGEL ONG)
