According to data on the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority Web site, fish unloaded in all ports amounted to 38,311 metric tons (MT) in the three months ending March this year, 4% more than the 36,949 MT recorded in the first quarter of 2015.
The volume unloaded at the General Santos Fish Port Complex totaled 49,451 MT. Though a contraction by 12.14% from the 55,030 MT of the first quarter last year, this was the most fish unloaded among all ports.
