Chef Luigi Muhlach opens new restaurant in Tagaytay
Chief Luigi Muhlach, son of renowned celebrities Aga Muhlach and Janice De Belen, recently launched his new restaurant in Tagaytay City, said Inquirer in a report.
His restaurant, Amacena, which came from Spanish words “Amar” meaning profound affection, and “cena”, a Spanish term for supper, reinvents classic Filipino dishes bulalo and kare kare in its menu to participate in the rich and celebrated local food scene in Tagaytay.
The restaurant, situated at the ground floor of One Tagaytay Place Hotel Suites, offers a wide range of Filipino dishes, with an upscale twist. Some of the key dishes include Adobo and Kesong Puti Bruschetta, bistek smothered in soy-kalamansi sauce instead of black sauce, and Honey-Bagoong Chicken Wings.
“Tagaytay is famous for Filipino food like bulalo and kare kare. It took us five months to develop a menu that would excite our diners.” said Muhlach to Inquirer.
Amacena is open 7:00AM to 10:00PM daily, and has a room which can host private gatherings of up to 10 people.
