No booze in Duterte thanksgiving party
Incoming president Rodrigo Duterte declared that his thanksgiving party at the Davao Crocodile Park on June 4 will be “alcohol-free.”
Radio dzMM quoted Duterte as saying that booze and drugs are not welcome in his party, which is expected to be attended by 100,000 people.
The party is also for the election of Duterte’s children, incoming city mayor Sara Duterte Carpio and reelected vice mayor Paolo Duterte.
The party is dubbed “DU31: One Love, One Nation Thanksgiving Party.”
Talents from Davao City and Metro Manila are expected to show their support for Duterte. Those from Metro Manila include Daniel Matsunaga, Erich Gonzales, Vice Ganda, and Carlos Agassi.
Rappler reported that the event will be held from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m., and entrance is free.
The Davao Baking Society committed to give out 5,000 Duterte cakes.
Security agencies are deploying 4,500 personnel in the event.
