Pjepa review to focus on agricultural goods
Manila said it will seek more favorable terms for local farm products under a free-trade agreement (FTA) between Japan and the Philippines, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said on Monday.
Tokyo and Manila are set to renegotiate the Philippine-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement
(Pjepa) this week, Trade Undersecretary Ceferino S. Rodolfo said.
“We’ll be renegotiating it this Friday. Our main interest is agriculture products especially those coming from Mindanao,” Rodolfo said in a news briefing on Monday.
