Aboitiz ’s Pilmico promotes sustainable farming thru livelihood program
The food company of the Aboitiz family, Pilmico, provided livelihood packages to families in Pangasinan under its Corporate Social Responsibility program dubbed Mahalin Pagkaing Atin.
Pilmico provided livelihood packages to 25 beneficiaries in Sta. Maria, Pangasinan consisting of piglets, egg machines, and bakery kits.
Pilmico’s Mahalin Pagkaing Atin CSR campaign aims to promote the love for local and sustainable farming.
Pilmico’s livelihood assistance should enable local farmers to sustain their livelihoods through an easy-to-manage business with a relatively quicker return on investment.
Pilmico also conducted seminars on animal husbandry and nutrition, basic and advanced baking demos, and a cooking demonstration by celebrity chef Boy Logro, the ambassador for its CSR campaign, showcasing the different flavors of Pangasinan..
Pilmico launched its Mahalin Pagkaing Atin CSR program in mid 2014 to promote sustainable entrepreneurship through the promotion of local produce and instill a pride of product and a pride of place among farmers and local consumers.
