Bibingka comes to the global Pinoy
Philippine FoodAsia Corp., operator of the Bibingkinitan chain, is expanding to the Middle East, Asean and Guam – a strategic plan that targets countries where there are lots of Filipinos.
After its success in Dubai, Bibingkinitan is eyeing a branch in Qatar in October and another in Abu Dhabi.
It is also looking for master franchisees for Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
Bibingkinitan is a word play between ‘bibingka’ and ‘balingkinitan’, which best describes the size of the rice cake.
