Big Show tries out suman and puto bumbong
WWE super star Big Show recently had a taste of Pinoy favorites, but did not try one important local delicacy.
Following his visit on Tuesday, July 26 to endorse WWE Live Manila, which will happen on September 9 at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Big Show also got immersed in the Pinoy culture in his brief stay, Rappler reported.
The 7-foot, 400-pound wrestler posed next to Manila’s large jeepneys at a photo shoot and tried out some local delicacies before greeting his local fans at the Mall of Asia Music Hall.
Big Show, born Paul Wight, tasted suman, sticky rice and puto bumbong – but didn’t try what he called “the Donald Duck egg”, the local delicacy balut.
“I haven’t had any carbs in a couple of days so the rice was very good,” Big Show said to his fans at MOA.
In he report, the renowned wrestling superstar also proposed some ideas for the Pinoy jeepney.
“The [jeepneys], you know I don’t fit in them. I can strap one to my foot and use it like a skateboard. Or use it for a bodysurfing board,” said Big Show in the report.
Big Show will be returning to the Philippines for the WWE Show in September, in which he’ll face John Cena in one of the matches.
We sure hope that they served him an extra large suman!
