Coconut Oil still managed to be in PH’s top 10 exports in 2015
Despite the effects of cocolisap, coconut oil still managed to remain in the country’s top 10 list of exports last year.
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, coconut oil exports amounted to $1.13 billion last year, 6.2 percent less than what was exported in 2014.
Coconut oil was the only agricultural product in the top 10 list.
The second biggest agricultural export last year were processed food and beverages that amounted to $741 million, followed by bananas at $659 million, and pineapple and pineapple products at $574 million.
