PhilRice hosts cook-off competition on local green leafy veggies

The Philippine Rice Research Institute will be holding a cooking competition, challenging participants to prepare gourmet Filipino a la carte dishes highlighting local green leafy vegetables.

The “Going Greens, A Cook-Off Showdown” which is in celebration of the Nutrition Month will be held on July 26 at the PhilRice compound in the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.

The competition is open to all and each participating team should have two members.

The contestants will be cooking three dishes—appetizer or snack, entrée, and dessert– in a three-hour period.

Interested participants can download the registration form from http://www.philrice.gov.ph/going-greens-a-cookoff-showdown/ and email the filled out form to [email protected] or fax to (044) 456-0258 loc. 260 no later than July 15, 2016 (Friday).

PhilRice will only accept the first 10 registrants.
