Tips from 17 yo entrep behind Joseph’s Craft Ice Cream
The food scene in today’s age is very fast-paced. To be able to survive, you need to come up with unique business ideas, like making ice cream out of smoke. Sounds cool, isn’t it?
17-year-old entrepreneur Nikki Alvarez, along with her mom, owns and manages Joseph’s Craft Ice Cream, a liquid nitrogen based ice cream business that creates the product right before the eyes of its customers.
“What were you doing at 17? Nikki Alvarez just graduated from high school and at an early age she told us it’s not impossible to pursue a dream you are passionate about… not even when you are in school.”, Shoptalk posted on its official Facebook page.
In an interview with ANC’s Shop Talk, Alvarez said that starting out the business only took her weeks and handy internet research for her to conceptualize business ideas.
Together with the help of her parents, and comprehensive search for liquid nitrogen suppliers, the first steps of putting up the business was completed.
She also added that the start-up phase is the best time to feel what the market demands. This is the most suitable time to create and maximize the buzz of the concept, and looking into other segments by developing new flavors.
She also shared that the liquid nitrogen technique they are using in Joseph’s Craft Ice Creams are better because the freezing procedure makes the ice cream creamier and softer. This, thereby, preserves the nutrients of the fresh fruits infused in the product.
Joseph’s Craft Ice Cream is located at Shangri-la Plaza Mall Main Wing, EDSA cor Shaw Blvd, Mandaluyong. Apart from it, they are also offering party or catering services, to “add magic” to events.
