3rd Urban Agri Expo, happening on September

Urban Agriculture Expo, now on its third year, will take place on September 17-18 at the Market Market Central Plaza in Taguig City, Manila Bulletin reported. The two-day event, which is a joint project of the Manila Bulletin and Agriculture Magazine, aims to acquaint urban dwellers on many different food production developments that they can carry out right in their homes.
Various ways of growing vegetables will be exhibited by seed companies as well as commercial growers and enthusiasts. The new selections that are highly productive will be showcased by seed companies including East-West Seed Company, Allied Botanical Corporation and others.
Expo goers will also get to see the vegetable starter kit created and developed by Ramgo planned for teaching school children on how to grow vegetables. Every single kit includes a potting medium, biodegradable pot, seeds, fertilizer and a piece of paper where the student can take note his observations on the onset the growth of the seedlings.
Some of the procedures and seedlings that can be grown include fruit trees in containers, microgreens, culinary and healing herbs, hybrid vegetables, flowering plants.
