Agreement on better marketing of carabao milk products inked
The Philippine Carabao Center has signed a memorandum of agreement with plastics manufacturing firm McBride Corporation to help with the development and marketing of carabao milk products.
Under the agreement, McBride Corporation will help improve the competitiveness of PCC-assisted dairy associations and/or cooperatives through research and marketing.
It will put up storage facility including refrigerated transport vehicles for milk products, form a product development team that will develop appropriate protocols for market-driven carabao’s milk products, and market the products.
The PCC will develop protocols for the processing of quality carabao’s milk products, supply milk to the corporation, and cooperate in promoting and marketing of the products.
Also, 50 percent of net sales will be set aside as Dairy Development Trust Fund for capability building, among other forms of assistance, for the dairy farmers.
