Gov’t to launch first PH food innovation hub
The country’s first food innovation hub will soon be established by the government to step up efforts to make the country’s food entrepreneurs more competitive.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) said the planned fopd innovation hubn will focus on the processed food sector.
The hub is expected to be launched on the first quarter of 2017.
This hub is envisioned to enable start-ups and micro, small and medium enterprises in the processed food sector for them to have access to domestic and international markets.
This will be the first food innovation hub of the DTI. Early this week, the DTI and IdeaSpace Foundation (IdeaSpace), the country’s leading early stage technology incubator and accelerator,
signed an agreement for the launch of QBO Innovation Hub for startups and technology innovation entrepreneurs.
