PH eyes collaboration with Singapore on halal products
The Philippines is pushing for stronger collaboration with Singapore in terms of bringing more halal-certified food and non-food products and services in the country.
The country, through its Embassy in Singapore, identified the halal industry as one of key areas for stronger partnerships.
The Philippine embassy, in its list of investment priorities, said the demand for halal food and non-food products is rising as the Filipino-Muslim population increases.
It invited Singaporean investors to participate in the Zamboanga City Special Ecozone 100-hectare property project to be designed exclusively for halal processing and manufacturing.
