PH, Poland eye collaboration in agri mechanization, trade
Philippine ambassador to Poland Patricia Ann Paez said the Philippines should partner with Poland in mechanizing the agriculture sector.
Paez recently attended the Polish Food Festival, which was attended by the president of the All Poland Trade Union of Farmers and Farmer Organizations. A wide array of farming machinery was displayed during the festival.
Paez and Philippine officials also met officials of Poland’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
She also had a meeting with Sergiusz Martyniuk, president of Pronar, the leader in the production and sale of machineries and equipment for agriculture, municipal services and transportation.
Paez told agriculture and Pronar officials that one of the Embassy’s priorities is to develop agricultural cooperation between the Philippines and Poland because agricultural modernization is one of the top priorities of the Duterte administration.
Polish officials said they are searching for new markets for Poland’s agriculture and livestock produce, especially in Asia.
