PH wants more fruit exports to Turkey
Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol said the Philippines is interested in exporting more fruits to Turkey following a big demand for fresh fruits.
Piñol expressed the country’s interest when Turkish ambassador Esra Cankorur paid him a call last Aug. 24. The two discussed future collaborations.
Piñol said there is a great potential for coconut-based products in Turkey.
The Philippine agricultural exports to Turkey reached $6.7 million in 2015, mostly in desiccated coconut, milk and cream in powder form, and tuna in airtight containers.
