Pig & Palm Cebu, a “dream” for Chef Atherton’s Cebuana wife
Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton and his Cebuana wife Irha, recently opened their first restaurant in the Philippines, The Pig & Palm, which the British chef said is a dream for his wife, Inquirer said in a report.
Situated in Cebu City in MSY Tower, Cebu Business Park, the 57-seater restaurant provides a modern Spanish tapas menu with a focus on pork dishes, Inquirer said. The Pig & Palm is the The Social Company’s 16th restaurant, which has outlet from London to New York, Shanghai to Sydney, Hong Kong to Dubai, and now, Cebu.
“It has always been Irha’s dream to bring some of the success of our restaurant group back to her hometown. It gives me no greater joy than to open a social destination here as my love letter to her.” Jason said during the launch of Pig & Palm in Cebu.
The Pig and Palm in Cebu is owned by local partners Chris and Carla McKowen, property developers, and architect Lyndon Neri. The team behind the restaurant aims to take the taste of Spanish cuisine to Cebu in a casual, contemporary environment, Inquirer said.
