Stronger fisheries relations between PH, Indonesia
Fisheries officials from the Philippines and Indonesia recently agreed to strengthen relations on fisheries for the two countries that share the same maritime borders.
A delegation from the Department of Agriculture led by Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources head Eduardo Gongona met with officials of the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting on Traceability of Fish and Fisheries Products in Jakarta, Indonesia.
They also attended the Southeast Asia and Pacific Regional Fisheries Summit on July 26 to 27.
The two countries agreed to fast track the conclusion of relevant documents and work closely together to ensure a robust economic partnership.
They also exchanged invitations to forthcoming fisheries events and meetings.
