World Bank approves P600M Cagayan Valley road project
Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol said the World Bank has approved a P600 million road project in Cagayan Valley dubbed the Philippine Rural Development Program.
In a post on his Facebook page, Piñol said the Cagayan Valley road project will consist of three roads and a bridge.
One involves a 13.1-kilometer concrete road and a bridge known as the Alacala East Farm to Market Road which will be awarded to a contractor who emerged with the best proposal in a public bidding. The project is worth P200 million.
Another is the Namabbalan Norte-Baliuag-Bical-Cabbo Farm to Market road in Tuguegarao that will cover 17.4 kilometers of concrete road and a bridge. The project is worth P201 million and is scheduled for a rebidding as the first one failed.
The last project is the Iraga-Bayabat Farm to Market road in Amulung and Solana towns that will cover 20.25-kilometers of concrete road and a bridge. The project is worth P203 million and is up for bidding.
