BFAR seizes 10 MT of fish in Legazpi City
Two truckloads of frozen fish with an estimated value of P800,000 were seized by personnel of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Legazpi City over the weekend.
The Bicol Standard reported that 10 metric tons of fish were confiscated when the alleged owner failed to present documents that covered the catch.
The two trucks reportedly contained galunggong, timon-timon, tulingan and mackerel and were supposed to have come from Camarines Norte and Sorsogon.
The owner was given five days to produce documents before the fish is released to him.
