Tagum now has new honeybee production facility
A newly opened honeybee production facility seeks to enhance agriculture tourism in Tagum City in Davao del Norte.
The bee farm is located in Barangay San Agustin near Botanical Park and is the city’s newest attraction, Davao Today reported.
Rejean Zulueta of the City Agriculture Office said the “Apiary and Training Facility” is aimed at enhancing agricultural tourism
Presently, the city government is managing the two-hectare facility.
The facility will be a training venue for those who want to venture in bee farming.
According to the city government, it acquired 21 queen bees, thousands of royal knights, nurses, drones, and colony workers.
It said the new facility seeks make it a business venture as well.
