Coffee Expo starts in Bacolod City Dec. 1
Around 160 coffee producers from seven regions in the country will gather in Bacolod City on Dec. 1 for the two-day National Coffee Expo.
Sunstar reported that the regions are Negros Island, Cordillera Administrative Region, Caraga Region, Calabarzon (Region 4A), Central Luzon, Western Visayas, and Soccsksargen.
Sixteen coffee farmer-groups in Negros will also participate in the expo which is held by the Department of Agriculture and the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development (DA-PhilMech).
Aside from exhibition of products, there will be evaluations, market encounters, cupping and testing segments, lectures on support services, coffee processing, marketing strategies, and brand strengthening.
DA-PhilMech will also conduct an assessment of how the industry fared this year.
