Korean food processors to mentor Pinoy traders
Ten food processors from the South Korean Foreign Trade Service Corps (FTSC) will come in May to mentor local food processors about the latest techniques.
Sunstar, quoting Trade Regional Director Maria Belena Ambi, reported that the Koreans will first visit Davao City before going to the International Food Expo in Manila.
Ambi said around 30 food processors in the Davao region will be considered for the meeting with the Koreans.
She said the trade department is developing hot chili products – a hit among Koreans – for the May meeting.
She said local food processors will learn about high quality packaging and Korea’s requirements for food preparation.
She said the event will prepare the Philippines for in participation in South Korea’s biggest food expo.
