Buy1-take1 on spreadable butter at Rustan’s, plus Pinot Noir and Sav blanc for less than P300
Rustan’s is not known for having the cheapest goods. While its clientele is picky, they are also keen on good deals which is why I am assuming that the Aussie pinot noir and sauvignon blanc it’s putting on specials from April 28 until May 7 should be fairly decent.
Rustan’s Supermarket is selling Australia’s River Retreat pinot noir and sav blanc for just P299 from P349.
It also has Arla’s 200-gram pack of spreadable salted butter at buy1-take1 at P89. This means that a pack costs only P44.50—that makes it cheaper than even any local margarine.
If I am to make the extra trip, these are the only things in Rustan’s promo for this period that I think is worth the drive.
If Rustan’s is your usual grocer, there are some buy1kilo-take half a kilo deal that could interest you.
Its frozen pork belly grill cut is on a buy1kilo-take500 gram offer. At P385 per kilo, the free 500 grams bring it down to P256.67 a kilo. The price of liempo in Metro Manila wet markets averaged at P240 a kilo today though.
Its frozen beef shanks are also on buy1kilo-take500grams. At P399 a kilo, the beef shanks effectively cost just P266 a kilo. It’s a fair price since beef brisket averaged at P240 a kilo and beef rump averaged at P280 a kilo today in Metro Manila, according to data from the Department of Agriculture.
Again, these promo will run only from April 28 to May 7.
