Chef Tatung unveils new book: Rice to the Occasion
Renowned Filipino restaurateur and Agos Restaurant owner Chef Myke “Tatung” Sarthou has launched his newest culinary book.
Following a year since he launched “Filipino Cookery: From Heart to Platter,” chef Tatung is back with “Rice to the Occasion,” which he launched last Saturday at Madrid Fusion Manila, ABS-CBN reported.
The book contains discussions and recipes on meals with rice.
Chef Tatung had also launched his very own documentary “Seasons of Salt,” which was first shown at last January’s Madrid Fusion in Spain.
Under the documentary, Chef Tatung can be seen around the Philippines featuring artisan salt producers like Aro-En Salt. It aims to show the importance of salt among Filipinos.
“Salt is the cornerstone of taste and flavor,” ABS-CBN quoted the culinary master.
