Gaita Fores falls in love with Bacolod’s batchoy

Renowned culinary icon Margarita Fores sailed the seas just to taste the region’s most cherished dish.

In an Instagram post, the Filipino restaurateur shared her excitement in taking delight in the local noodle dish.

“Crossed the waters in a ferry from Iloilo to Bacolod and went straight for this beautiful Batchoy… noodles al dente, beautiful liver, marrow, chicken, chicharon and more… Bacolod, I love you!”, her caption read.

La Paz Batchoy is one of the most popular signature dishes in Bacolod and Iloilo region made of pork broth and organs.
