Nueva Ecija farmers receive 51 farm machineries, equipment
The provincial government of Nueva Ecija has distributed 51 farm machineries and equipment to farmers in the four districts of the province to help boost their productivity.
Governor Czarina Umali said the initiative is part of her administration’s continuing efforts to strengthen the production capability of the farmers that could uplift their lives and their families.
Umali said 11 combine harvesters, six reapers and two threshers were granted to identified farmer-beneficiaries in the province’s first district while nine harvesters and four threshers were distributed to the farmers in the second district.
She said the farmers in the third district received six combine harvesters, three reapers and three threshers while the fourth district’s farmer-beneficiaries were granted with seven combine harvesters.
The governor cited the need to provide the farmers the much-needed farm machineries and equipment to boost farm labor productivity.
The provincial government aims to focus on increasing the income of the farmers by giving support to sustaining and boosting their harvests.
For Macario Bautista of Llanera town, the farm machineries provided by the provincial government are indeed a big help for they would have an easy and convenient way to harvest their yields.
Provincial agriculturist Serafin Santos asked the farmer-beneficiaries to value and take care of the farm equipment granted to them by the provincial government. (PNA)
