Pangasinan Tourism, Trade Expo opens till May 1
The province opens its biggest and most spectacular exhibition for Pangasinan local products, food, arts and crafts on April 5 till May 1 at the provincial capitol as part of this year’s “Pista’y Dayat’ (Sea Festival).
April 5, which is a special non-working holiday in Pangasinan as approved by Malacanang, marks the founding anniversary of Pangasinan in 1580.
Now on its 10th year, the Tourism and Trade expo will showcase around 109 booths located at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center (PTDC) compound and at the Capitol sea wall.
Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) Marilou Elduayan said more than 100 exhibitors will display their products in these booths.
The products include the One Town One Product (OTOP) of every city and municipality and food court at the PTDC compound as well as food carts at the Capitol sea wall and this year’s latest addition, Food Central Capitol.
The Food Central Capitol which shall feature food stalls of popular restaurants in the province, is in partnership with the Pangasinan Visitors Bureau (PVB), a non-stock, non-profit organization of tourism enterprises.
Exhibitors and vendors from other provinces shall also be featured in the expo to provide a more diverse selection of souvenir items for visitors.
On top of these, visitors will also enjoy a fiesta ambiance thru sights and sounds as series of musical entertainments shall be featured every night.
For art aficionados, paintings and photographs will satisfy their visual cravings through year’s Panag-Arte La Lamet Art Exhibit as presented by “Liket Datek” Art Group, the Pangasinan Lensmen and other associations.
Bonsai, garden and landscape enthusiasts shall be equally treated with an array of collections and landscaping designs throughout the month-long expo.
The expo and booths will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily from April 5 to May 1. (PNA)
