Sisig shop owner warns of fake margarine
A Facebook user has recently posted her harrowing experience after she was able to buy fake margarine at a local market.
According to Facebook user Mayen Marlyn, who owns a sisig shop, margarine is one of the main ingredients for their delicious sisig and their staff buys them from the local market regularly. On one occasion, Mayen said that she was able to purchase margarine worth P100.
Mayen said that it was lesser than what she is accustomed to getting even though she was sure that it weighed the same as her previous purchases. She managed to capture on video the reason.
When Mayen put the same amount of margarine on the sisig skillet, it burst into flames. After it burned out, Mayen said that it left a residue that was similar to clay. To illustrate the fake margarine’s quality, she also took a video of how the regular margarine cooks on the skillet.
(ANGEL ONG)
