While Pinoy burger lovers trooped to their nearest Zark’s Burger to jostle for the chance to get an P8 burger in celebration of the establishment’s anniversary, netizens had a field day crafting memes about the chaos that ensued in several branches of the burger joint.
Many likened the near stampede to a zombie swarm from the movie World War Z and switched up the Z to Zarks.

Some used scenes from an anime to illustrate the volume of people per floor area waiting for Zarks to open.

There were those who said Taylor Swift’s latest song perfectly depicts the scenes in Zark’s branches

Some credited the staff for their resilience in the face of hungry patrons
“Those who are working at Zark’s SM Bacoor right now, you are doing a great job. P8 for a burger and you get this line?? Hang in there, fellas.
More power to Zark’s for that juicy burger they make. Management, take care of your frontliners. #zarksburger,” Jax Walter Pacis said.
Others suggested that Zarks should have given out the coupons to the first 80 customers online beforehand for a more orderly scene come their anniversary date.

While there were those who said they would not risk their safety even if P8 sounds like a good deal.
“8pesos for 1st 80 customers of #ZarksBurger — not! No way I would risk our safety for this. Kaka #shookt ang fellow filipinos. my ged!!,” Jaimie Felix said.
Meanwhile, some netizens are calling out those who are shaming the people who made an effort to get their P8 burger fix and trolled the trolls who are making the Zarks crowd feel bad.
