Eataly to open biggest agri-food park in November
Eataly, the world’s largest Italian food hall, has slated to open “world’s largest agri-food park,” Fico Eataly World this November 15 in Bologna, Italy.
Fico Eataly World will include the sprawling Italian restaurants and Italian products common in all Eataly markets, but the complex will go beyond regular Italian fare to cover the entire country’s breadth of culinary landscape.
The park encompasses more than 20 acres in Bologna, filled with 40 farming factories, 40 Italian restaurants, and six “educational rides.” The park will also host daily classes and events and Eataly expects it to become a destination for conferences.
The park reportedly attracted more than 2,000 companies are participating in the $106 million project, which will create 3,000 jobs. And when news of the park broke in 2014, Eataly CEO Oscar Farinatti said he hoped Fico Eataly World would attract an ambitious 10 million visitors per year.
Entrance will be free of charge.
