Limited edition Coca Cola Coffee Plus draws mixed reviews in Japan
If you’re a coffee and soda lover and you’re visiting Japan in the very near future, you may be just in time to try out Coca Cola’s limited edition Coca Cola Coffee Plus.
While it may be too much for regular caffeine lovers, the combination of the caffeine from the soda and the coffee is equivalent to the energy buzz generated by some of the most reliable energy drinks in the market.
Each can is only half the size of a regular soda but each serving has 50 percent more caffeine than it’s cola counterpart. According to a report by Pop Sugar, the coffee component is added in the form of extract powder. Since it contains sweeteners, each serving is equivalent to 42 calories.
It is unsure whether Coca Cola has plans of expanding the limited release to other countries but so far, it is getting mixed reviews in Japan. As the product is still part of the Japanese Coca Cola website, there has been no word how long it will be available in the market or if or if it will remain a regular product of Coca Cola Japan.
