NFA to conduct training on good warehousing practices
To ensure the safety of food during warehousing and distribution across the country, the Food Development Center (FDC) of the National Food Authority (NFA) will conduct a training course on ”Good Warehousing Practices” in December at its compound in Taguig City.
The training course was developed to create understanding of the requirements for ensuring the safety and wholesomeness of food during warehousing and distribution; and to learn how to inspect for compliance with requirements for warehousing and distribution.
“The lectures will discuss the hidden enemies during warehousing and distribution of food; requirements for personnel hygiene practices; warehouse sanitation; requirements for receiving and storage of commodities; and practical exercise during inspection of warehouse facility,” NFA said.
Alberto R. Cariso, Jr., assistant director of the Food Development Center is the principal resource speaker. He is a specialist of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
The course fee is P3,200.00 per participant inclusive of training manual, lunch and snacks.
Interested participants are encouraged to make reservations early and to confirm this through payment of the required fee before November 24, 2017.
