NFA conducts training on basic principles on food traceability, defense
Aside from the training on good warehousing practices, the Food Development Center (FDC) of the National Food Authority (NFA) will also conduct a training course on ”Basic Principles of Food Traceability and Food Defense” in November.
The training course aims to first, familiarize the participants with the basic principles of food traceability and Philippine perspective on meeting the traceability requirements of importing countries.
Secondly, NFA wants to provide basic understanding of food defense in the food industry and guidance in the protection of food products from intentional contamination or adulteration intended to cause public health or economic derangement.
Alberto R. Cariso, Jr., assistant director of the Food Development Center, is the principal resource speaker.
He is a specialist of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
