NFA employees get salary differentials
National Food Authority (NFA) Administrator Jason L.Y. Aquino said the salary differential of the state-run grains agency’s employees will be released before the month ends.
“NFA employees will start receiving their 10-month salary differential after the agency has fully complied with all the requirements imposed by the Governance Commission for Government Owned and Controlled Corporations (GCG) for the salary adjustments,” Aquino said.
“The new salary rates are expected to further boost the morale of NFA employees to perform well in the delivery of basic services to the Filipino people,” he added.
NFA employees will start receiving their adjusted salaries effective November this year.
Salary adjustment is retroactive to January 1, 2017.
President Rodrigo Duterte has issued Executive Order 36 last July 28, 2017 which allows GOCCs covered by the Salary Standardization Law to adopt the modified salary schedule under EO 201 which provides for salary adjustments of employees under the national government agencies (NGAs) effective January 2016.
Under EO 36, the implementation of EO 203 is temporarily suspended until further review. EO 203 adopted a new compensation and position classification system (CPCS) for GOCCs.
