NFA honors outstanding rice farmers and businessmen
The National Food Authority (NFA) recently awarded its best stakeholders for 2016 for their outstanding performance and support to the agency and for being the best in their respective sector in fulfilling their role in the overall development of the grains industry.
Three separate awards were particularly given to the “Best Provincial Retailers Group” won by Baguio-Benguet Grains Retailers Group from Region I; “Best Farmers Organization” topped by Amaling-Manoot Irrigators Association of Mindoro Occidental (RegionIV); and “Best Rice Processor/Miller” given to Family Choice Grains Processing Center, Inc. of Cabatuan, Isabela (Region II).
“These awards give recognition to our stakeholders whose support and commitment have been essential in the implementation of NFA’s programs for the overall growth and development of the food industry,” NFA Administrator Jason Laureano Y. Aquino said.
“We hope that we continue to strengthen the partnership between the NFA and its stakeholders by providing inspiration in upholding the interest of the industry as a cornerstone of national development,” he added.
This year’s winners for the awards were selected from the nominees nationwide, all with equally distinguished records and accomplishments.
