Pumpkins, umami and Mi Goreng burgers, a definite must at GILT

GILT Burger is known for whipping up amazing and delicious burgers but what most casual fans don’t know is that they specialize in a mean dessert as well.

Their version of a campfire treat S-more needs no bonfire. Instead, its deconstructed to create a brand new treat. Your order is served on a hot skillet with melted milk chocolate blocks, hazelnut, Oreos, Snickers, white chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips with toasted marshmallows on top.

To level up the treat, the hot mixture is topped with a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream and served with graham crackers for dipping. Cool, huh?

But don’t forget that before their dessert, their burgers are a definite must try. The Smashing Pumpkin may remind you of the 90s alternative band of the same name, but the flavors on this burger would catapult you to a different space like some Smashing Pumpkin music. What’s in it you ask? Lettuce, tender pork belly with house made sweet pumpkin sauce topped with julienned carrots on a sesame seed brioche bun.

Umami in a burger? Definitely possible. The Drunken Umami with its New Zealand Angus beef, katsuobushi, beer cheese sauce and bacon jam is one of the bestsellers at GILT.

Here’s another – The MiGoreng burger complete with a sunny side up egg and Sriracha sauce will definitely redefine your standards of creativity.

GILT can be found at 7615 Guijo Street, San Antonio Makati. Check them out soon.
