Russian keen to import agriculture products from PH

According to him, Russian government had asked the Department of Agriculture (DA) to write them a letter on the country’s willingness to export these products.
“They said they need a lot from the Philippines– fisheries and fruits. (They said) ‘we need a lot from the Philipines but we need to formalize everything’,” Piñol said in an interview.
“They are interested in our fruits like banana and mango. They also want to look at our fisheries such as shrimp,” he added.
Piñol said that by the first quarter of next year, DA is hoping to be able to strengten and concretize its agricultural ties with Agriculture Ministry of Russia.
