Tapa King offers incentives to franchise referrals
Unfazed by the protest against its decision to tap presidential son Baste Duterte as its newest endorser, Tapa King is now intensifying its operations by giving incentives to people who can convince someone to avail its franchise.
“Gusto ba magnegosyo ng friend mo? Invite them to be a Tapa King FRIENDchisee today! Maaari ka pang makakuha ng reward sa bawat successful referral! P5,000 for BTK & BTK Diner o P10,000 for full scale and food court ang pwede mapasaiyo,” the food chain said.
This statement came just a few days after a radio host asked the public to boycott Tapa King.
Radio host Teddy S. Pereña, who also serves as producer at OKS via DWBL 1242, said that this is his “personal crusade” or “non-violent protest” against the excesses and arrogance of the “Payaso sa Palasyo and his family”.
The host gave several reasons for his call but none of them are directly pointed at Baste but more at his father, President Rodrigo Duterte.
Pereña mentioned how Presidenr Duterte is failing to meet his target to end the trade of illegal drugs in the country in a few months and how he failed to get a decent set of members for his cabinet, mentioning specifically Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar, and Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson.
Tapa King’s decision to get Baste as its product endorser has been faced with criticisms since day one.
Even when the food company was just teasing its customers on who will it be its new endorser, netizens already began the #boycottTapaKing trend.
