US to continue exporting chicken to PH
Philippines will continue to be a good trading partner for the United States in terms of chicken exports, said Greg Tyler, vice president for marketing of USA Poultry and Egg Export Council.
Tyler recently said that Philippines will continue to be a very important export market for the US in terms of broiler.
“We continue to grow our supply 3 to 5 percent,” Tyler said. “We will continue to supply to our traditional trading partners like the Philippines”.
This, even if the government already said that the country has enough local supply for chicken and chicken products in the next few days, especially in the upcoming holiday season.
Right now, farm gate prices went up since August after prices declined to a low of P10 to P15 per kilogram from the average of P70 per kg.
