Kickstarter project introduces reusable coffee cup made from discarded coffee husks
Hard core coffee lovers, how about a chance to enjoy your favorite joe in a container made from coffee?
Yup, a team recently posted a Kickstater project for the HuskeeCup which are coffee cups produced from discarded coffee husks, the second to the last layer of the coffee cherry fruit next to the bean.
The cups are recyclable and even dishwater safe so it also helps minimize waste generated from continuous use of disposable cups and containers.
Aside from that, because of the natural quality of the husks, it has better thermal retention, helping coffee lovers keep their coffee warmer, for longer. Its design also allows the heat to spread evenly around the cup so that you don’t get scalded when the drink is still too hot.
The product has been such a success that it got funded in merely 12 hours on Kickstarter.
