Water supply interruption, heavy traffic seen in McArthur Highway
Maynilad Water Services, Inc. said that it had to start an emergency leak repair along McArthur Highway in Valenzuela City, advising the public of heavy traffic and possible service interruption
Starting today, Maynilad will implement emergency repair works on its 750mm-diameter primary line along McArthur Highway near corner J.C. Santos Street in Valenzuela City.
During this period, the two south-bound lanes along McArthur Highway near corner C.J. Santos Street will be closed to traffic.
To help ease traffic flow, one lane on the north-bound side will be made available for counter-flow traffic, to accommodate vehicles going south toward Monumento. Motorists are also encouraged to take alternate routes.
As a result of these emergency repair works, some Maynilad customers in Valenzuela City will temporarily experience low water pressure to no water supply beginning 5 a.m. of December 15 (Friday) until further notice.
Below are the barangays in Valenzuela City that will be affected by the service interruption:
Barangay Gen. T. De Leon
The specific time of service resumption will be determined once Maynilad’s technical teams have exposed the leaking pipe and assessed the extent of the damage.
For the meantime, the company will be deploying 20 tankers to deliver potable water to the affected areas. Customers may call the Maynilad Hotline 1626 to request for water tanker delivery.
Maynilad shall provide regular updates on the progress of the repair works so affected customers will be informed of developments, the company said.
