128 Bohol farmers now proud owners of lands they till
The long wait is over as hope moved towards the lives of 128 Boholano farmers who just received their individual certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
The CLOA distribution was led by Undersecretary Karlo Bello of DAR Field Operations Office who represented Secretary Castriciones together with Director Leomides R. Villareal of the Public Assistance and Media Relations Service (PAMRS), Director Alejandro S. Otacan of DAR Region 7 and PARPO II Grace B. Fua of DAR Bohol Province.
The CLOAs distributed covered around 103.5351 hectares of land in various municipalities in Bohol Province.
The towns include Carmen with 8.2725 hectares covered; Catigbian with 17.4924 hectares; Getafe with 5.4217 and 19.5585 hectares; Danao with 12.3711 hectares; Pilar with 13.6240 and 2.1319 hectares; San Miguel with 0.4473 and 8.2445 hectares; Sierra Bullones with 5.6982 hectares; and Guindulman with 10.2730 hectares.
Bello lauded the efforts of officials and employees of DAR in Bohol for the fast processing and the release of CLOAs and emphasized the impact of their exertions to the lives of the 128 ARBs.
He also reiterated the rallying point of President Rodrigo Duterte’s mandate to DAR, and that is to accelerate the processing and release of individual land titles to the poor farmers.
