Prices of fish were mostly higher last week
Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) recorded that while there have been price decline in some fish products, they are generally more expensive last week.
“Mixed price movements for selected fish species are noted in some regional centers during the week,” PSA said.
For instance, the price of alumahan per kilogram were sold higher by P50 in San Fernando City (Region 1); by P40 in Cebu City; and by P20 in Zamboanga City.
Price increments of P5 and P10 per kilgram of bangus, on the other hand, were noticed in four regional centers.
A kilogram of galunggong was also priced higher by P40 in Zamboanga City and by P10 in Batangas City and Tacloban City. However, it went down by P10 in Baguio City.
A price increase of P10 per kilogram of tilapia was likewise observed in both Tacloban City and Davao City. Meanwhile, it dropped by P20 in Zamboanga City and by P10 in the National Capital Region.
